THE 2005 UAB INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS AND MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS Birmingham, Alabama, March 29 - April 2, 2005
Talks of 25 minutes in length in all areas of differential equations and mathematical physics are invited. We ask that you register online. The deadline for this is March 6, 2005. Please visit this site for updates, or send us an email if you have any questions. Click here to put yourself on the mailing list (registering automatically puts you on the mailing list). ProgramTopics in the general area of linear and nonlinear differential equations and their relation to mathematical physics and dynamical systems will be emphasized. This will include the analysis of Schrödinger operators, quantum electrodynamics, fluid dynamics, evolution equations, spectral and scattering theory including inverse problems, statistical mechanics, as well as other related topics. Plenary SpeakersThe following have agreed to give plenary talks:
General SessionsGeneral sessions will be open for registered participants. Click here to access our online registration form (the deadline is March 6, 2005). SupportA limited amount of funds is available to provide partial financial support for participants, in particular for graduate students, young researchers, participants from minority groups, and participants from developing countries and Eastern Europe. To apply please send an email to chernov@math.uab.edu with the Subject "Application for support" and the following information in the body of the message:
HistoryThe conference was held seven times at UAB starting in 1981. In 1992 and 1997 it was held at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Click here for more details. Organizing Committee
ThanksWe gratefully acknowledge support of the conference by the National Science Foundation, UAB's School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and the Alabama Alliance for Minority Participation. |
