GBMP Community Mathematics Nights Attendance Tops 3,450 through Fall 2007

 

GBMP held Community Mathematics Nights (CMNs) for the public in 7 different communities in the Fall of 2007 including Chelsea, Bessemer and Trussville.  Topics addressed by these CMNs included:  "Algebra and your Child's Future", Multiplication: Will Your Child Know Their Basic Facts", and How to Help Your Child with Math at Home".

Attendance at the sessions this Fall totaled nearly 750.  The Greater Birmingham Mathematics Partnership has now presented 35 of these Community Mathematics Nights since it started offering them in January of 2005.  Total attendance at these 35 sessions has now reached over 3,450. Over 1,250 parents and other attendees have been surveyed and nearly 90% have rated the Community Mathematics Nights they attended as either Informative or Extremely Informative.
